Chord Gain Boost Guitar Effect Pedal - GB-50.
Chord GB-50 Gain Boost Guitar Effect Pedal
Active gain boost pedal to increase the level of your guitar signal with 2-band EQ for tone shaping. Housed in an aluminium body to provide ample protection during a hard life on the road whilst remaining lightweight.
Ideal for driving the input of a guitar amp to a point to make it distort the true sound of the amplifier, or as a signal booster for pushing the guitar forward in the mix for a solo, or even a combination of both.
Guidance:
The GB-50 is a boost pedal that adds gain and output level to a signal, ideal for lifting the output during solos and/or for pushing the input of an amplifier to create overdrive.
Increasing the Level control gives progressively more boost to the guitar output, whilst Low and High controls change the tonal character of the signal by adjusting the lower or higher frequency content. For boosting into solo passages, it is sometimes best to use this pedal in the send-return loop if the amplifier has one, whereas driving the amplifier into overdrive needs the GB-50 directly on the output of the guitar into the front end of the amplifier.
Unplug the guitar input jack to preserve the battery when not in use. If the pedal is not being used for long periods, it is advised to remove the 9V battery.
Optional external power can be from a 9Vdc adaptor, centre-negative polarity with a rating of 100mA or higher recommended.
Specifications:
- Low & High tone controls
- 9V battery or optional DC adaptor operation
- Power supply 9V battery (PP3 included) or optional DC adaptor
- Construction Aluminium housing with rubber base
- Controls Low, High and Level
- Dimensions 115 x 68 x 47mm
- Weight 300g
